Kenya Swiss Water Decaf Washed

TASTING NOTES:  Chocolate | Cherry | Black Currant | Dark Chocolate | Lemon

This vibrant blend unites two exceptional coffees from Kenya’s famed Nyeri region, celebrated for its bright, fruit-forward flavors and rich volcanic soils. The first component comes from the Mutheka Kigwandi AB, a cooperative of nearly 5,000 smallholder farmers and seven factories. Within it, the Kigwandi Factory’s 842 producers, each managing about 200 trees, work collectively to make decisions and share profits equitably. The second comes from the Rukira Factory, part of the influential Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, which represents over 14,000 farmers and 19 factories. Established in 1979, Rukira’s 800 members—about 600 of whom actively farm—contribute an average of 30 kilograms per harvest. Both producer groups embody Kenya’s tradition of collaboration and quality, resulting in a coffee that is as impactful as it is delicious. Each cup reflects the dedication of thousands of farmers and the strength of cooperative growing in Nyeri.

We take a farmer-first approach, partnering with family-owned farms to ensure fair compensation and thriving communities. Coffee isn’t just a crop—it’s a livelihood. Since most of the world’s coffee comes from families, not corporations, every bag we share reflects their dedication, sustainable practices, and craft—making each sip unique and meaningful. We also push for full transparency on farm gate pricing—the price paid directly to farmers—to ensure they reap the rewards of high-quality production and sustainable agriculture.
