Ethiopia West Arsi Werka Nensebo Natural

TASTING NOTES: Blackberry | Pomegranate | Dark Chocolate | Strawberry | Red Apple | Chamomile | Dried Fruit
Nearly 850 smallholder family farmers surrounding Werka village deliver freshly picked, certified-organic coffee to Testi’s Nensebo washing station in Ethiopia’s Nensebo district, West Arsi zone. Each farmer manages 2–5 hectares, hand-picking their own cherries and transporting them immediately to the station. After a flotation quality check to remove “floaters,” cherries are dried on raised beds for 15–18 days, with constant turning and sorting to ensure even drying.
The Nensebo washing station is owned and operated by the Yonis family, with whom we’ve collaborated since 2024. Faysel and Eskinder Yonis’ dedication to quality shines through in every cup. We are blown away by this coffee’s vibrant profile—bright berry notes, especially strawberry, balanced by citrus acidity and a creamy body with a distinctive hint of fresh yogurt. Perfect growing conditions, organic cultivation, and meticulous processing create a beautifully unique coffee experience.
