El Salvador’s 2025 Harvest with Carlos Pola

Caleb and I just got back from a sourcing trip to Juayúa, El Salvador, at Pola’s Coffee Family Farms. We cupped over 20 coffees and selected 5 standout microlots and nanolots bursting with complex flavors. We expect these gems to arrive this summer!
Sourcing Trip Highlights:
On our way to the farm, Carlos took us to Alquimia Coffee in San Salvador—a coffeehouse ranked #14 on the World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025 list! With precision roasting, innovative tasting experiences and a warm atmosphere, this coffeehouse perfectly embodies the excellence of El Salvador’s coffee scene.
Between farm visits and cuppings, Caleb and I took breaks on the Bourbon Hostal rooftop, soaking in the views and local flavors. Caleb may have discovered his new obsession: coffee and banana bread!
