Brewing Up Our Future
Happy summer to everyone!
As the sun shines brighter and the days get longer, there's no better companion than a cup of our freshly brewed coffee to make your days even more memorable. This month we will share our progress on our renovations and what makes the ethos around our coffee so special.

Renovations are in full swing at our very first coffee house! We aim to make it a cozy haven for all coffee lovers and a place that embodies our values of sustainability, community, and quality. Our renovation team has put their heart and soul into every detail of the coffee house design. I must extend a special thanks to my wife for her unwavering dedication to making this place one-of-a-kind. Her keen eye for detail and passion has been indispensable throughout the process. We've also had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with many local people and businesses. Every interaction only fuels our excitement to open our doors to all of you!

At the June meeting with the local Bear Lake Association, my daughter, Isabel served up a batch of Midnight Stargazer Blend iced coffee sweetened with some local maple syrup from Hustad’s Sugar Bush. We shared our vision and goals for our upcoming coffeehouse, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
On a more personal note, I have embarked on a journey to learn Spanish. My Spanish teacher is an impressive nearly 70-year-old woman who learned English while in her 60s. The beauty of our lessons is that we converse only in Spanish. During our lesson this month, she asked me about Bear Lake Coffee Co. and what makes our coffee special.
Even with my limited Spanish, I responded, "El mejor café proviene de familias, no de grandes corporaciones," meaning "The best coffee comes from families, not big corporations." This is the ethos that drives us, every single day.

Our family can't wait to serve up smiles and fresh coffee from our producers in our new coffeehouse this fall. Here's to a summer filled with family, friends, and coffee!
