Welcome to our first blog post! We are excited to embark on this journey with you all.
I had the privilege to take my first origin trip this year to the beautiful country of El Salvador. It was an honor to meet the incredibly people there, connect with the local culture, and spend time with Carlos and Patty Pola, the owners of the farm. It was amazing to meet their team – Oscar, Adiel, and Ermelinda – and it was inspiring to see how in love with coffee they are. It makes me understand why their coffee is so special. I am learning every day from everyone in the coffee community. Check out our first origin documentary here. 
One of our deepest desires is to be part of something bigger than ourselves, to belong, wake up with purpose, truly love what we are doing, and know that we are making an impact. I am proud to announce that Bear Lake Coffee has joined a movement that is using business as a force for good.
As of April 2022, Bear Lake Coffee Co. has obtained B Corp Pending Certification.
This step signals to current and future investors that our company measures and manages its social and environmental performance with the best tools available. We’re excited to join other Certified B Corporations who are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

Our impact: Each purchase gives 2% net revenue to the communities behind our coffee. Your purchases directly support initiatives that make a positive impact on the environment and the people behind the coffee we share. We will be publishing an annual Impact Report to share how you are making a difference.
