Introducing our first Swiss Water Coffee, as apart of our new small batch Swiss Water program.
In 2015, a group of 30 women from Rubavu, Western Province, came together to form the Tuvemubukene Cooperative. Naming the cooperative “Tuvemubukene”, or “to get out of poverty”, the women aim to work together to help each other increase cash flow, improve income stability, and create financial sustainability for their families. The women use basket making and sewing clothes to diversify their revenue streams and increase financial stability for their families. Today the Tuvemubukene Cooperative has more than 65 members and a reputation for both high quality and social sustainability.
