Bishan Wate, grown at 2,200 meters along Ethiopia’s Wate River, is meticulously washed to showcase exceptional clarity and structure. A 96-point coffee—among the highest-rated reviewed in 2026—it opens with white peach and lime zest, layered with jasmine and honeysuckle florals, and finishes with refined cane sugar sweetness and soft cocoa. A vivid expression of high-elevation terroir and precise craftsmanship, this cup is vibrant, balanced, and truly unforgettable.
I very much enjoyed this complex, full flavored coffee. Even my wife who rarely drinks coffee thought it is excellent. It's 96-point rating is well deserved, and I intend to order another bag.

A Delightfully Rich and Complex Washed Guji
I've been fortunate to enjoy many fine Ethiopias over the years and this is certainly one of the best, a true standout. The careful sourcing and expert roasting of this coffee by the folks at Bear Lake will produce a cup of coffee Nirvana. Coffee Review's comments are quite accurate, so if you're a lover of African coffees, you will doubtless enjoy this one tremendously.

Dense and Well Roasted
First time I’ve ever been able to fit a 12oz bag of coffee in a small 4 inch Airscape container without it overflowing. Unbelievably dense beans that have been excellently roasted like picking the heaviest fruit off a tree.
