Public Policy, Political Engagement, and Lobbying Statement

Purpose

Bear Lake Coffee Co. is committed to conducting business with transparency, integrity, and accountability in alignment with the stakeholder-centered principles reflected in the evolving standards of B Lab. This statement outlines our current approach to lobbying, political engagement, and public policy activities.

Current Approach

At this time, Bear Lake Coffee Co. does not engage in lobbying activities and does not make political contributions on behalf of the company. This includes:

• Direct lobbying at the local, state, or federal level
• Indirect lobbying through third parties or trade associations for political purposes
• Corporate political donations to candidates, parties, or political action committees (PACs)

Our current focus is on advancing our mission through responsible business practices, ethical sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and community impact.

Future Public Policy Engagement

Bear Lake Coffee Co. recognizes that public policy can play an important role in addressing issues relevant to our business and stakeholders, including sustainability, climate resilience, responsible sourcing, labor practices, and community well-being.

If the company chooses to engage in lobbying or public policy advocacy in the future, we commit to doing so responsibly and transparently. Any future engagement would be guided by the following principles:

• Alignment with our mission, values, and stakeholder commitments
• Transparency regarding material lobbying activities or political contributions
• Compliance with all applicable laws and reporting requirements
• Respect for human rights, environmental responsibility, and ethical business conduct
• Oversight by company leadership

Trade Associations and Industry Participation

Bear Lake Coffee Co. may participate in industry organizations, community groups, or sustainability initiatives to support learning, collaboration, and responsible business practices.

Participation in these organizations does not currently include lobbying activities on behalf of the company. Should that change in the future, Bear Lake Coffee Co. commits to evaluating whether the positions and activities of those organizations align with our values and stakeholder commitments.

Governance and Accountability

I am responsible for overseeing compliance with this statement and reviewing any future public policy or lobbying activities. If Bear Lake Coffee Co.’s approach to lobbying or political engagement changes materially, we commit to:

• Updating this statement
• Communicating changes transparently
• Reviewing alignment with our broader governance and stakeholder commitments

Commitment

Bear Lake Coffee Co. believes businesses can contribute positively through responsible operations, transparent stakeholder engagement, and ethical business practices. We remain committed to ensuring that any future public policy engagement reflects these principles and supports long-term positive impact for stakeholders and the broader coffee community.

This policy has been developed to support compliance with the requirements of the B Lab Standards Version 2.2 and to advance the Company's commitment to sustainable business practices. The policy should be interpreted and implemented in a manner consistent with applicable B Lab Standards requirements and any future updates adopted by B Lab.
