"Tangerine Sunrise" is a competition series coffee from Edwin Noreña's Campo Hermoso R&D Center in Quindío, Colombia. Most experimental coffees chase intensity. This one chases first light. Cherries picked above 20° Brix were soaked two hours to sort, then rested a day under low oxygen. Once pulped, they macerated 48 hours in 200-kilo reactors with native yeast at pH 4.2, then washed until the mucilage was gone. Eight days of sun in one of Colombia's largest greenhouses brought it to full glow. Citrus breaking over the horizon, cantaloupe warming the sky, bubblegum as clean as morning air. Enjoy the sunrise.
Equally good as espresso, in milk, or as filter.
